Course requirements and logistics
Entry requirements
A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard is essential. Candidates should also have experience of working with children and young people from birth to age 25, across a diverse range of employment contexts. Candidates must have a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) form to show suitability to engage in direct work with children.

Fees and funding
The course fees for 2019/20 are £14,250 (FT) for UK/EU based students and £24,760 (FT) for overseas students. Funded students receive £16,390 for the year, delivered in quarterly stipends.

Travelling to and from the university
Many students who attend the programme live all over London. A significant number live outside the M25, ranging from Kent to Lewes. Travelling in each day for lectures or placement is made possible by the Institute of Education's location. The nearest tube station is Russell Square (4 minute walk) on the Piccadilly line. It is situated a 15 minute walk from King's Cross St. Pancras, so it is relatively easy to get a train from outside London. It is a 10 minute tube ride from Paddington (along the Circle or Hammersmith and City line to Euston Square) and a 7 minute tube ride from Victoria (along the Victoria line to Euston). There is roughly a 5 minute walk from both Euston and Esuton Square to the Institute.

Studying as a parent
Several of each year's cohort are on the programme whilst raising a family.
